Although the DLF is primarily focused on basic scientific research that will promote recovery and regeneration of the injured brain, we recognize that access to information, services, and resources is extremely important to improving the lives of individuals with brain injury and their families. With this in mind, we are providing a listing of each state and the District Columbia with links to their respective Brain Injury Association or Brain Injury Alliance.

The Traumatic Brain Injury - Model System Centers
The TBI Model System centers provide a multidisciplinary system of rehabilitation care, including emergency medical, acute medical, and post-acute services to improve care and outcomes for people with TBI. In addition to providing direct services, these centers play a pivotal role in building the national capacity for high-quality treatment and research, serving persons with TBI, their families, and the communities in which they reside.
